There's a little garden outside Ye Olde Smoke House. Had fun taking some photos there as the weather was favourable. Had fun although I did frustrate him a bit by taking too many photos. He doesn't regret it now. (3 Jan 07) Jim Thompson was an American businessman based in Bangkok who set up a successful retail business which still thrives today. He dissappeared here in Cameron Highlands decedes ago in the 60s during the Communist Insurgency. Many conspiracy theories abound from him being an undercover American spy to his sexuality. Anyway, I had to get a photo of his shop here, plus I thought the background was nice. (2 Jan 07). The Aboriginals of the Malay peninsular form tribes and some have negrito features. My bro and I took a walk to the modernised settlement there. They live fairly well with satellite TV, running water and electricity. Though they were quite hospitable, we did feel we were somewhat intruding. Even then, the locals here are much more friendly than those in the city (3 Jan 07). He looks like me eventhough we are three and a half years younger. I thought the background was nice and the lighting good enough for a shot without the flash (3 Jan 07). My father at 78 and my mum.
