My 10.5G tank as at 1 October 2006

Did an updated photo of the tank... Sadly I've given this away now. It's at my cousin's place. I've thrown out most of the stem plants as they were just too high maintenance... Things have changed since I've checked...
Specifications: 19.5in x 11.5in x 15in, 3WPG

Fauna

12 Harlequin Rasboras (Trigonostigma heteromorpha)

1 Chinese Algae Eater (Gyrinocheilus aymonieri)

The last time I saw the tank, I've noticed that the Marsilea hirsuta's doing well. In medium-low light, it will sprout larger and more attractive four-clover leaves. In my larger tank, with higher light levels, the plant seems to disappoint, producing single lobed leaves, like a large glosso.
The Needle Leaf Ludwigia (Ludwigia arcuata) has the same characteristics at Ludwigia repens, slowly growing very fine roots at the lower part of its stems, creating an unslightly mess if left unchecked. To prune this plant, uproot it and discard the lower parts of the stem and roots. Replant the tops and it will remain attractive as it grows taller... A high maintenance plant it is...

Here's a smaller photo of the tank. The glosso's formed a nice tight and thick carpet and the hairgrass has filled out relatively well. My 12 Harlequin Rasboras have grown slightly. I've never regretted buying them as their red colour really enhances the beauty of this tank, plus they shoal well too.
Added Needle Leaf Ludwigia (Ludwigia arcuata) as I've noticed that Amano uses this plant a lot for small tanks. It works, with its fine leaves, giving the tank a larger illusion. Just like the Mayaca sellowiana which has grown tall and formed a thick background. The Marsilea hirsuta's also multiplied and looks better than ever!
